Software Engineer for T. Rowe Price's new Planning and Advice
platform team, you will play a key role in the design, development,
and delivery of the applications, services, and infrastructure that
comprises our SaaS platform. In this role, you will be responsible
for leading a team of front-end and back-end engineers to build,
test/debug, and implement a suite of high-quality, successful
financial planning and investment advice solutions delivered to T.
Rowe Price's clients thru our intermediary and direct business
channels.This role will specifically focus on leading the
development of innovative and differentiating financial planning
capabilities for T. Rowe Price's new Planning and Advice platform
to serve T. Rowe Price's clients and internal teams. Capabilities
will include client profiling, goal planning, retirement income
planning, cash flow analysis, tax planning, investment planning,
and integration with 3rd party systems. This is an exciting
opportunity to create a state-of-the-art platform and transform T
Rowe Price into a technology leader in the wealth management

contributes to software engineering best practices, including those
that have enterprise-wide impactAccountable for the quality, TCO,
maintainability and security of a component or applicationCapable
of leading regular, ongoing development projects and
teamsAccountable for the quality, TCO, maintainability and security
of key components or applications Contributes to specific elements
of the GTS Technical strategyBusiness KnowledgeMakes decisions that
are cognizant of the firm's broader business strategy and future
prioritiesRecommends solutions aligned with T Rowe Price's Global
Technology and business unit strategies and
standardsQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's or Master's degree (or
the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
and 8+ years of progressive software engineering and leadership
experience.Demonstrated expertise and practical experience
architecting, building, and deploying software for the wealth
management industry with domain knowledge around core capabilities
like portfolio construction, investment management, financial
planning, and/or client relationship managementProven ability to
design, code, test, and implement flexible, extensible, scalable,
reliable, and integrated SaaS platforms that can support diverse
ecosystems of applications, users, delivery models (B2C, B2B2C) and
business channelsDemonstrates master hands-on capability to drive
components to delivery using Java, Spring Boot, Jersey REST APIs,
and modern front-end frameworks.Stays abreast of industry trends
and technologies and knows when/how/if to apply them
appropriatelyConverses in many technologies and learns new
technologies quicklyDemonstrates deep experience in automated
testing and techniquesDefines testing strategy for products and
ensures adherence to strategySets standards for code
reviewsProvides oversight of all development activities on assigned
projectsDebugs any system, even those not written by
themselvesPerforms as an expert in multiple parts of the software
lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, development) and coaches other
around such practicesOwns technical debt for multiple components or
systemsProvides a clear and concise explanation of business
strategy, technical concepts, designs or implementation to a

Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$156,000.00 -

$303,000.00 for the location of: New York, CaliforniaPlacement
within the range provided above is based on the individual's
relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only
one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon
