MISSION: The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) brings
recognition to the achievements of women artists of all periods and
nationalities by exhibiting, preserving, acquiring, and researching
art by women and by teaching the public about their
accomplishments.

to championing women through the arts. Through its collections,

THE OPPORTUNITY: The Chief Advancement Team Leader is a newly
created role, responsible for the alignment, planning, managing,
and execution of a comprehensive, diversified, and strategic
development, marketing, communications, and digital engagement
efforts to further advance the museum's mission with the mandate of
significantly growing and diversifying sources of revenue from all
constituents.
The Chief Advancement Team Lead will provide strategic vision and
an innovative approach to this endeavor, ensuring that all teams
under their leadership are fully integrated to tell NMWA's story in
innovative, compelling, and impactful ways, tailored to a broad
range of constituents and visitors and driving growth in engagement
and philanthropic support.
The Chief Advancement Team Leader reports to Executive Director
Susan Fisher Sterling and is a member of the leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Team Leader is a team of 17. The
Chief Advancement Team Leader will also work closely with board
members and an engaged network of national and global committees
who serve as ambassadors and supporters for NMWA in their
respective communities.
FUNDING: NMWA has a current annual operating budget of
approximately $17 million, and an endowment with a current market
value of approximately $100 million.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The annual compensation range for this role is $220,000-$250,000
commensurate with experience and accomplishments, plus attractive
benefits.
