Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the Litigation Department, its
key selling points, its partners and their individual practice
groups, and our overall competitive position.
- Identify new business opportunities, including cross-selling
opportunities, and implement strategies and tactics to help the
Litigation partners.
- Build trust based on superior performance to be recognized as
the hands-on, go-to BD/marketing point of contact for the
Litigation partners.
- Gather, promote and leverage information regarding experience
to support BD efforts, including information related to industry
experience, practice overviews, attorney bios, cases/matters and
related written descriptions and tombstones, client lists and
client profiles.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from attorneys regarding BD
opportunities. Oversee and contribute to the development and
production of tailored and persuasive pitches and RFP responses in
accordance with brand and risk management guidelines, and track and
record outcomes.
- Develop content and messages for pitch materials, RFPs and
presentations, and draft compelling executive summaries
demonstrating the value proposition; oversee the maintenance of
pitch templates and related materials, such that materials are
available for use upon request.
- Provide market and client research using internal and
third-party databases and other sources for strategic
pitches/proposals and communicate potential opportunities to CMO
and Director, Business Development along with project management
plans for pitch/proposal development.
- Collaborate closely with the firm's CMO, Director of Business
Development, and other members of the Client Development &
Marketing team with respect to firm-wide and cross-department
projects and initiatives.
- Proactively communicate to assigned partners on hot topics,
client success stories, market drivers and associated
recommendations.
- Develop and maintain authorized client lists.
- Collaborate with dedicated CRM team to record and analyze
client and other key contacts and to develop and maintain targeted
mailing lists.
- Manage directories submissions, interviews and related efforts,
and leverage submission content for BD and marketing purposes.
- Collaborate with Communications, Events and broader Client
Development & Marketing teams on marketing efforts, including
conference sponsorships, client events and webinars; this includes
the development of targeted guest lists, evaluation of ROI and
follow-up on related BD opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to identify
appropriate experience and capabilities to highlight on the firm
website, intranet, social media, attorney bios, awards nominations
and other materials, and to identify thought leadership
opportunities.
- Support the development of new firm tools, systems and
databases, as needed.
- Support the training and development of junior members of the
Client Development & Marketing team, including BD Specialists.
