POSITION SUMMARY(Hybrid, 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)The
Network Engagement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the
coordination, execution, and monitoring of community engagement
activities in partnership with local United Ways as part of the
Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grant and Power Forward Communities
Coalition. This role will ensure that grant sub-awards are managed
effectively and that deliverables align with program goals. The
Manager will support local United Ways in designing
market-responsive workplans, drafting and deploying training
materials, meeting engagement targets, reporting on progress, and
driving collaboration between stakeholders in selected Power
Forward Communities markets.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES
OF POSITION
- Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local
United Way staff, community leaders, and other partners involved in
the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grant project.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure cohesive
efforts between local United Ways and Power Forward Communities for
market building and community engagement activities.
- Foster a network of collaboration, knowledge, and clear
processes among sub-awardees to enhance overall program
success.
- Stakeholder and Market Coordination
- Serve as the key liaison between Power Forward Communities
Coalition, local United Ways, and community partners to foster
collaboration on community engagement activities and shared
learning.
- Conduct regular check-ins with local United Ways to monitor
progress, address challenges, and adapt strategies to fit the
unique needs of the market and program.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and trainings that focus on PFC
partner financial offerings for clean energy initiatives and
sustainable development specific to market dynamics.
- Capacity Building & Support
- Provide tailored support to local United Ways in rural and
tribal markets, helping them build capacity for effective
engagement and implementation of grant-funded activities.
- Share tools, resources, and best practices that are
specifically designed to meet the cultural and logistical
challenges of rural and tribal outreach.
- Lead training sessions or workshops to improve community
engagement strategies that respect tribal sovereignty and rural
community structures.JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental
Science, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent
work experience).
- 4+ years of experience in grant management, nonprofit program
management, or community engagement and outreach, with a focus on
coalition coordination.
- Experience managing grant sub-awards, contracts, or programming
in a nonprofit or community-based setting, preferably with an
emphasis on community engagement activities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with
the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data tracking, reporting, and compliance for
grant-funded projects.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability, clean energy
initiatives, or greenhouse gas reduction efforts preferred.
- Ability to travel to United Way markets as needed.SALARY
STATEMENTThe budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is
currently $85,000 to $95,000 per year. Salary is determined by
several factors including applicant's knowledge, skills,
experience, position, equity, and market. Please note that this
position is subject to government funding availability. Although
our awards have been announced, it is important to acknowledge that
funding allocations and external factors beyond our control may
